After a few years of working with the Mayan calendar I became very inspired and had the urge to create my own Mayan sunseals. It was a long process of painting. At first I wanted to create each day one seal that resonates with the energy of that day. So it seems easy, 20 seals, 20 days of work.

No way! Some days had only inspiring energy, other days only a creative energy or an energy of completion, and gladly a lot of days with all those energies together. It took a few months to create all the Mayan sunseals.

After that, I produced postcards from the artwork and wrote a message which resonates with each sunseal. You can use these cards with the messages to meditate on that day or just play with. The messages or poems are in Dutch language but I will try to translate a few of the messages in English and I hope it will give the same energy and feeling as it has in my language.

For more information about the Mayan calendar I advise to search on the internet. There is lots of information. The most fun part is to look at your birthday and find out what sunseal belongs to that day. It tells a lot about how you live your life, the destination of your life, and what tools you can use to make your life ease or for those who like it more, not so easy.

I have to make a side note about the Mayan calendar, there is more than one Mayan calendar. Jose Argeulles, the pioneer in this matter, has made the dreamspell or 13-moon calendar, and Carl Johan Calleman has another philosopy. The best way is to study both philosophies and pick what resonates best with you.

More about me and my work you can find at www.tribalanza.nl the site is in Dutch but maybe with an online translator babelfisch you can understand what I say.
